OUR VOLUNTEERS 'GIVING BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY'
Thank you to all our members who came to our annual tradition of preparing 140 Easter baskets for STAR House children.
Take a minute and watch this quick video showing the final apartment for a deserving HomeStretch family.
Our team (Rosana Pruitt, Susan Matt, Diana Matt, Libby Schamp, Val Lesniak, and Lisa Cruise) only had 3 days to completely furnish, decorate and supply the apartment with furniture, appliances, food, linens, etc.
A very rewarding project for our team!
2018 Decor movie
Each year we fill over a 140 Easter Baskets to support STAR House for their boys and girls programs at Mimosa & Esther Jackson Elementary Schools in Roswell.
Toy Drive and Coat Drive - Each year we collect new toys and gently used coats for our friends at
North Fulton Community Charities.
Each month our amazing volunteers provide BINGO for our friends at
Senior Services.
In January 2017, Susan Seaver and her committee put in two solid weeks of cleaning, furnishing, and decorating our second Homestretch Unit # 106. Thanks to member contributions, we were also able to stock the fridge and pantry for our new family, a single mom and her 13-year-old son.
Congratulations to Susan Seaver, Jamye Swick and the rest of the committee for a GREAT job!
In addition, our first unit was purchased in 2016 for a deserving mother with 2 boys and 1 girl to move in. Susan Matt, Libby Schamp and Lisa Cruise created a warm and welcoming apartment.
